Your Miracle Morning Workshop with Donna Louise Hay

Donna Louise Hay is a freelance digital consultant and the founder of Gozen Girls. We're very excited to have her at One Girl Band with her Miracle Morning Workshop!

The Miracle Morning: The Not-So-Obvious Secret Guaranteed To Transform Your Life… (Before 8AM) is one of the highest rated books on Amazon, with over 1,200 five-star reviews, and is being widely regarded as “one of the most life-changing books ever written.” Endorsed and practiced by everyone from world renowned influencers to entrepreneurs, CEOs, millennials, stay-at-home mums and people from all walks of life.

But what began as a book has become an international movement, translated into 17 languages and transforming hundreds of thousands of lives, around the world. And it just may be the simplest, most effective way to create the life you’ve always wanted, and faster than you ever thought possible.

Based on the premise that how you start your day largely determines the quality of your day, your work, and your life, The Miracle Morning gives you the ultimate morning ritual and teaches night owls how to beat the snooze button, even if you’ve never been a morning person.

Donna says: "As a freelancer in Brighton, the last three or so years have been filled with a whole lot of hard work and a pretty non-existent work-life balance but thankfully after re-igniting my love of books I’ve saved myself from burnout and learnt the true lesson in finding time for just you.

After recently returning from a pretty life-changing trip in Bali, I want to show you how you can make time for just you in as little as 2hours a day… and you don’t HAVE to be a morning person to make this happen."

This 2 hour session will include:

- An introduction to Miracle Mornings and how it can benefit you

- Planning your own Miracle Morning dependent on your schedule

- The Miracle Morning SIX Step Process

- Miracle Morning Ideas - ways that you can make the miracle morning work for you

- The Miracle Morning Commitment - a commitment to yourself to motivate you over the next 30 days

You will also gain access to an exclusive accountability Facebook group to help motivate you throughout the next 30 days as we make Miracle Mornings happen together!

Her style is very much guided by her vision and purpose: a sense of belonging.

Nadia's talk will be all about how to stay inspired and stand out in a crowded industry, as well as how to find your style, define your vision and attract your dream client. Her greatest passion consists of people, their stories, their lives and seeing them come alive; so she created workshops directed at photographers and other creatives who want to find their own style and voice in this big industry of same-same. They focus on developing a vision for your art. She wants to help break the cycle of looking to others for inspiration, constant comparison to other creatives and creative confusion.

Donna Hay - The Books That Led Me To Bali

For as long as Donna remembers she has been obsessed with books. But it’s her journey into the world of non-fiction books during a time of darkness in her life that led her to heal herself. Now, nearly 4 years later and after launching her online bookclub for women - GozenGirls, Donna can safely say that books fuel her life with goodness and have led her to start living a life she dreams of. “You need a break from the frantic, noisy, overpopulated world. And permission to write, read, rest, draw, do yoga, listen to music, sit and stare – anything that evokes the deepest, most peaceful part of you”

When we can pause and indulge in some self care activities, we can feel more rested, more open and clearer going forward.

OGB Expertise Session on Personal Branding

OGB Expertise Session on Personal Branding
20.00

Our Expertise Sessions are back with a new format! From now on, we'll be hosting regular ES's that consist of 2 or 3 speakers talking about a certain subject that'll help you grow your business and brand. They'll range from branding to self care, accounting to content marketing

This session is about personal branding.

As creative business owners, freelancers, bloggers etc, being visible and putting our brands out there online is vital if you want to attract your ideal customers and reach new heights. But how do we do this authentically, without leaving our integrity and values at the wayside?

We have three wonderful speakers coming in who all, respectively, have expertise in social media, branding photography and brand/website design, and know just how you can create results whilst remaining true to yourself.

Becky Rui, an international Personal Branding Photographer, will be talking about:

"The world is such a visual place, and imagery can play a huge part in our brands success when we use it in the right way. Being self employed women in business, in a world where the technology we depend on is constantly evolving and ways of working and marketing ourselves are really quite new, how do we show up online in a way that feels good, sustainable, in integrity and attract our ideal clients?

In my talk, I will be sharing about the importance of photography in business and how it impacts our brands, how to use imagery in your business to take it to the next level in your website, Instagram, mailers, and what you need to consider for your next shoot.

Alongside the focus on photography, I also want to open space for discussion about having a personal brand in general, a space to voice our questions and thoughts around how we come across online and the pressures we find when we bravely show up as the face of our business.

My aim is for you to come away reminded of your greatness, feeling less alone in this, knowing that it is safe for you to show up as yourself, with new ideas and clarity around how you can use photography to grow your business and share your message in a way that feels exciting for you!"

Shelley from Polka Dot Petal, a PR, Social Media and Copywriting Consultancy will be talking about:

    • Why it’s important to be yourself (and not another generic account) when building your social media following
    • How to be true to you when it seems like everyone else is doing the same
    • Finding YOUR followers
    • Connecting with people who get YOU
    • Combatting the 'pressure to post' feeling, just because you feel you have to

Cat, from Gatto Web, will be talking about:

    • DIY-ing your brand and colour palette (keeping it simple if you want to create your brand yourself and how to use colours which reflect your image)
    • Creating a branding guide (having a template to refer to when creating graphics, updating your website and using your logo)
    • The best way to DIY your website (using Squarespace to create your own website which looks professional and on-brand)
    • How to portray your brand on your website (where to include logo's, how to keep your design cohesive, using graphics to increase your brand's reach).

Papercutting Workshop with Silvina De Vita

Are you looking to explore your artistic side and develop a new practical skill? Then papercutting is for you.

This workshop is ideal for beginners who are interested in learning the basics of papercutting. Papercutting is a fast growing trend and a great way of creating designs to brighten up your home, create decorations for special occasions such as Christmas and Weddings, or make personal gifts for friends and family.

During this three hour workshop you will learn how to use a scalpol knife to cut intricate designs from existing templates. You will learn various techniques which Silvina will talk you through step by step, and will be encouraged to experiment with colours and textures using a selection of papers to create your piece. You will create your own artwork which you can then take home with you. Your work can then be mounted into a frame and given as a present, or displayed in your own home. You will also learn how to create your own designs for future artworks.

All materials will be provided and you will get to go home with one small but wonderful artwork ready to frame and hang on your wall. Classes are limited to 12 spaces so please be quick if you would like to book.

Silvina has been a papercutter for 5 years; she has been published in several books about Papercutting and did several paper illustrations for publications. Making Positive Changes: Play

    Making Positive Changes: Play

Einstein said “Play is the highest form of research.”

Plato said “Life must be based on play.”

Emerson said “It is a happy talent to know how to play.”

Confucius said “It is better to play than do nothing.”

Jordan said “Just play. Have fun. Enjoy the game”

As adults we often feel play is limited to those under the age of 10. We assume a role of seriousness, meeting deadlines, being the provider and play can feel immature, unrecognisable and a waste of time. We've become so ‘careful’ in how we manage our lives that we’ve simply forgotten how to get play. Play means creativity. Play means connection. Play means learning how to be in sync with each other. Play can, and ought to, be brought more easily into every day life. We're seeing it much more in the movement industry, in tech and wellness.

Play isn’t just for kids. Join us in our new home at One Girl Band in Vine Street for this month’s Making Positive Changes and let us remind you how to play.

QOYA: Dancing with the Abundance of Life with Kate Taylor

As we honour Midsummer, we honour the abundance of the season. With the fruits of the season comes the sweetness of gratitude to honour all that is offered up; both in nature, and within our own lives.

"Blending midsummer air drifting softly in the sapphire twilight clouds where the beauty of love's kisses and music is real."

    Erich J. Goller

In this special Qoya dance to honour the midsummer we will give thanks to all that is by taking part in a despacho (gratitude ceremony) at the end of the class.

QOYA is based on a simple idea that through movement, we remember. We remember that our essence is Wise, Wild and Free. Wise evokes the wisdom of yoga, wild the creative expression in dance and free invites us to expand our capacity for pleasure in the body. In Qoya, we focus less on how it looks and more on how it feels. There’s no beginner, intermediate or advanced levels because there’s just one level and that is when it feels good you’re doing it right.

**PLEASE WEAR COMFORTABLE CLOTHING AND BRING WATER AND A BLANKET (OR SOMETHING TO KEEP WARM WHEN AT THE END OF THE CLASS)**
